This cast-iron Dutch oven looks great on your countertop and can still handle the heat of an open campfire. Whether you're using charcoal or wood, place the cast-iron directly on top of your W+G Grill during your next cook-out in the open air.
Take on almost any recipe with a classic cast-iron Dutch oven. Use it to sear, sauté, bake, broil, braise, and fry.
No coatings, enamels or finishes that could chip off into your food. This raw cast-iron Dutch oven is safe to use over a wood or charcoal fire, unlike those non-stick pans you have in the kitchen.
To maintain optimal performance, add a drop of vegetable or seasoning oil to the inside of the pot and use a cloth, paper towel or your hands to spread it evenly all over the cast-iron surface. With a second clean cloth or some paper towel, wipe away any excess oil.
1. Using a small amount of dish soap, gently wash the Dutch oven with a sponge or cloth. We recommend using soft materials to prevent scratching.
2. Dry the Dutch oven thoroughly with a dish cloth.
Yes, both the lid and the base are 100% oven and fire safe. If cooking outdoors with charcoal, you can even pile up hot charcoal on top of the lid to create an oven-like cooking effect.
Yes! These Dutch ovens can be used on all cooking surfaces (gas, electric solid plate or radiant ring, ceramic, or induction) and withstand up to 500°F (260°C) in the oven. Achieve the most perfect braising and appreciate how our cookware conveniently moves from your stovetop to oven to table.
Cast-iron is a durable material, but not indestructible. Softer cooking tools like wood and silicone are your friend. Use metal tools carefully, and try not to scrape too hard.
Yes, the silicone seal is completely fire and oven safe. If you're still uncertain, it should be noted that the silicone gasket is optional, and your Dutch oven will perform fine without it.
